Hi I’m Christen!
I’ve experienced firsthand the struggles nurses face from bedside to boardroom.
From crying after a crazy shift and ready to walk away from nursing altogether to feeling hopeless in my personal life and struggling through the pain of one-sided relationships.
When I began to heal my own life and the effects of burnout, I looked around and realized I wasn’t the only nurse struggling!
I knew I needed to share with other nurses what I’ve learned.
I believe when we take care of ourselves and reconnect with who we really are, we can create a life and career we love regardless of what’s going on in healthcare.
I believe nurselife is tough, but nurses are stronger.
Breathwork is one of the biggest tools that helped me take back control of my career, and my life.
I still use it to this day and can show you how to master this life changing tool!
An RN, Master Empowerment Coach, and trained breathworker who helps nurses struggling with burnout, moral injury, and lack of thriving relationships that come from a nursing career.
I blend coaching and breathwork so you can create a happy, peaceful, and fulfilling life.
As someone who’s been in healthcare for 25+ years, I get it.

The simplistic setup is effective because of it’s 3 basic principles.
The 3 basic principles are
Community
Each weekly 1 hour breath session is done in a small group of no more than 10 people. It provides a supportive community to nurses while receiving active, live support by yours truly
Consistent Self Care
Each week you’ll already have a plan in place that recharges your batteries so you don’t have to feel guilty anymore. When you take care of you, you’re able to better tackle what life throws your way. Breathwork is an excellent way to decrease stress, calm anxiety & overwhelm, increase your peace, come up with new ideas, & reconnect with your body.
Breathwork
You’ll be doing a conscious connected breath pattern that was developed out of rebirthing breathwork so you can set yourself up for success for the week. The goal of breathwork is to use 100% of your ling function. Each breath session is unique and the benefits of breathing are extensive.

I don’t have time for this, I’m exhausted.
I’ll do it later…
The truth for most of us is later never seems to come, does it?
As nurses, we’re built to be strong.
No one taught the need, or even how, to maintain our resilience, protect ourselves, our energy, and our time.
If you keep going, how much longer can you last and be happy? Not dread having to come to work? How much longer can your loved ones watch you before they don’t recognize you anymore?
We know the importance of stress management in nursing, and it’s more than a temporary fix of finding nurse life quotes online to make you feel better in the moment.
You’re worth the investment into yourself and this time and cost effective investment back into you is the perfect place to start!
I hate nursing
I just need to figure my sh*t out & decide what I’m doing…
It doesn’t sound worth the money. I know what I need to do, I just need to do it
Your work/life balance, creating a plan to sustain and refuel your tank isn’t worth the money? Whether it’s travel, fancy coffee, nails, or on someone you love, you’re spending money. Besides, if you were really going to “just do it already”, you wouldn’t be here. It’s easy to know what we “should” do, but it can be tough getting it off the ground. This is the perfect place to start.
It’s time to make yourself a priority. The minimal investment in both time & money for this series is an amazing deal! You deserve to invest in yourself.
I don’t have time for this.
We never have enough of this right? Time management is one of the biggest reasons people hire coaches. This is one hour every Tuesday. If you don’t have time to make for this investment in yourself, then you’re the best candidate. It’s time to make yourself a priority.
You don’t understand the people I work with. I need more than just breathing to really help me.
Breathing has more benefits than people realize. Will breathing bring in a new team? No, but it has the ability to help you view situations with better insight, deepen your clarity, come up with ideas and creative solutions you may not have thought of all while helping you decrease stress. Breathwork is incredibly powerful and I can’t wait for you to experience it! If you need more support, I also offer 1:1 coaching/breathwork packages.
The problem is healthcare, that needs to change, I can’t help it. In fact, the hospital should pay for this, they owe me after COVID.
Healthcare does need to change and COVID was awful. Hospitals probably need to pay for a lot of things, but we can’t control the industry or how entities spend their money. What we can control is ourselves, and this is a great step to help you put yourself in a position to take back control of your own worth. Whether hospitals acknowledge it or not, you’re worth investing in.
Increase your confidence and peace so you can decrease overthinking, second guessing yourself, and sleep better naturally
Feel more energized and less stressed so you can get off the couch and finally start crossing those tasks off your to-do list
Increase clarity and discover creative solutions so you can better answer tough questions like: “should I go back to school or leave nursing?”
Rejuvenate & restore your whole self consistently so you can improve your self-care routine and be present for yourself, family, & friends
Improve your mind/body connection so you can better listen to and honor your own needs
Improve time management so you can better prioritize your day. Imagine taking a lunch break AND leaving work on time?!
Feel supported by others walking in your shoes, you’re not in this alone!
The best part is, you’ll learn a lifelong tool you’ll be able to use at anytime in the future!
Room to Breathe
helps women proud to be a nurse alleviate nurse burnout symptoms through breathwork and a positive, supportive community
As someone who’s been in healthcare for 25+ years, I understand the unique struggles nurses face from bedside to boardroom.
From anger rants after work and crying in my car, not to mention the struggles in my personal life, I was done with nursing.
I gave so much of myself I had nothing left.
I remember feeling stuck, hated going to work, and my dating stories were a hot mess. I dreaded going to work so much that I was always “late”, and was close to getting fired.
I didn’t even recognize myself anymore.
I lost me.
I knew something had to change…
That’s when I started my own healing journey over 10 years ago now and I’ve never looked back.
I love my career again (and my life!) The more I began to heal, the more I realized I wasn’t the only nurse struggling!
The best part is I didn’t have to leave nursing to do it!
I knew I needed to share what I’ve learned with other nurses!
Nurse life can be tough, but I know you’re stronger
Breathwork is one of the biggest tools that helped me take back control of my career, and my life.
I still use it to this day and can show you how to master this life changing tool!
Frequently Asked Questions
I hate people. Why is this in a small group?
II’ll tell you a secret, people who “hate people” love their people. We as nurses have a responsibility to support one another in a positive and uplifting way, instead of the ol’ “nurses eat their young”, these small groups are an easy and effective way to do that. Small groups also allow me to help more people, and it keeps your costs down as well!
Will I get the personalized attention I need in a small group?
You may be surprised because with more people there, you may find yourself having more support than you’re used to. If you feel you need more, that’s no problem! I offer 1:1 sessions as well. However, the small groups are a great way to try a session or 2 and see if we’re right for each other before you jump all in.
Are these in-person or online? How long are they?
Right now, the small breathwork groups are online through Zoom, I may move to in-person in the future.
Each session is between 60-80 minutes. I hour of breathwork and about 15 minutes to discuss your experience.
